Description


Position Summary:


An ILI Superintendent is responsible to plan and oversee the inspection activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership qualities and demonstrated communication skills that allow him or her to take control of a project and produce results. The position requires extensive travel and reports to the Director of Operations. The home base for this position is Indianapolis IN.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety is put first in the execution of all tasks and processes
  • Review and evaluate pipeline questionnaire construction drawings and as-built drawings for upcoming job. Make necessary changes to mitigate risks ensuring a safe and successful job
  • Supervise the assembly and final buildout of the ILI machine prior to dispatching the tool to the job site
  • Perform QA/QC analysis on ILI tool build and testing
  • Take a lead role in the project management process pre-job planning and liaise with the customer throughout the ILI job. This includes logistical requirements
  • Be the on-site representative for Entegra at the job site. Communicate with customers regarding job execution including safety scheduling operations and run status
  • Develop document and communicate jobsite safety analysis plan for each job. Conduct tailgate safety meetings
  • Complete all job closing documents and reporting
  • Approve time sheets and expense reports for ILI crew
  • Train ILI crew members on all aspects of ILI operations
  • Fill-in for the Operations Director on an as needed basis
  • Administer field technician level qualification exams
  • Write standard operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum: High School or equivalent technical experience
  • Preferred: 2-year College and/or Technical Degree
  • 5 years ILI experience
  • ASNT ILI-PQ Tool Operator Level II or greater certification
  • Knowledge and application of OSHA industry and customer safety regulations and training requirements
  • Working knowledge of magnetic flux leakage theory and application
  • Working knowledge of pipeline liquid and gas hydraulics
  • Working knowledge of pipeline operations
  • Proficient in of Microsoft Suite
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as a team depending on the job requirements

The successful candidate will be presented a job offer contingent on the following:

  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
  • DOT Drug and Alcohol Test (Required as a condition of employment)
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check

  • MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Check
  • Passport or ability to obtain one in 6 months
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
