Job Description

Our client is a leading provider in the online gaming industry offering Live Dealer experiences since 2019 and a rapidly expanding suite of RNG and Slot Games. Focused on delivering tech-forward entertainment-first solutions the company serves operator partners across multiple global markets.

As the company continues to grow and enter new markets we are seeking an experienced Chief Legal Officer with a proactive can-do attitude to lead global expansion and regulatory strategy.

Responsibilities

Licensing & Market Expansion

  • Lead the end-to-end process of obtaining renewing and maintaining gambling licenses in various jurisdictions
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research of prospective markets to assess opportunities and risks
  • Prepare legal opinions and go/no-go recommendations for new market entry (LATAM EU Asia Africa etc.)
  • Liaise with local legal advisors regulatory bodies and licensing authorities
  • Oversee preparation and submission of licensing documentation and support during audits

Legal Entity Structuring & Corporate Governance

  • Manage setup and maintenance of legal entities globally
  • Ensure compliance with corporate laws tax regulations and governance standards
  • Support international structuring for legal and tax efficiency at the group level

Regulatory Compliance & Framework Development

  • Develop and maintain compliance frameworks (AML GDPR KYC Responsible Gambling etc.)
  • Work with Chief Integrity Officer on internal policies and risk mitigation
  • Prepare for and manage inspections and regulator inquiries
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact

Risk Management & Dispute Resolution

  • Assess and mitigate legal risks across operations marketing partnerships payments and end-user activity
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements and service contracts

Cross-Departmental Legal Support

  • Advise executive leadership on strategic initiatives and partnerships
  • Provide day-to-day legal support across departments: commercial product marketing HR finance operations
  • Ensure compliance in all external and internal documentation

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Law degree (preferably in international financial or corporate law)
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification legal experience including 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Mandatory experience in gambling/iGaming fintech crypto or another highly regulated digital sector
  • Experience with gambling licensing authorities (MGA Curacao UKGC etc.)
  • Proven experience in international legal structuring and cross-border governance

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of gambling/iGaming legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Expert knowledge of compliance standards (AML GDPR KYC etc.)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and ability to manage external legal providers
  • Fluent in English
  • Strategic mindset attention to detail adaptable business-oriented
