Permanent Physician Assistant-Neurosurgery Day Shift Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Full Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Perform comprehensive and problem-focused physical exams and medical histories.
- Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to determine patient health needs.
- Prescribe or recommend medical therapies and procedures within scope.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Evaluate patient responses to care making appropriate adjustments to plans.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care including hospital rounding.
- Counsel patients and families on conditions treatments medications nutrition and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate timely and complete documentation of care and outcomes.
- Refer to specialists when issues fall outside the PAs scope of practice.
- Participate in inpatient management and assist in the operating room and emergency settings.
- May require after-hours coverage as needed.

- Skilled in assessing diagnosing and developing care plans.
Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Experience: New graduates considered (Less than 1 year of experience required)
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas (Required)
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer (Required)
