Permanent Nurse Practitioner-Hospitalist Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Full-Time Night 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions - Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtain medical histories.
- Order collect and interpret diagnostic tests (labs imaging etc.) to assess patient health.
- Prescribe medications and recommend treatments per approved protocols with attention to safety cost-effectiveness and patient efficacy.
- Develop and implement individualized evidence-based treatment plans.
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses medications lifestyle changes and preventive care.
- Maintain complete and timely documentation of care provided.
- Refer patients to specialists when care needs fall outside scope or expertise.
- May perform minor invasive procedures within scope of practice.
- Participate in hospital admissions and discharges and may provide on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Experience: New graduates are welcome (less than 1 year of experience acceptable)
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Texas
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Board Certification as an APRN in an appropriate population focus (e.g. AGACNP FNP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)-must be obtained within 30 days of hire
