Job Description
Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform high-quality Breast Imaging (Mammography) procedures in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure adherence to imaging protocols safety standards and patient care practices.
- Communicate clearly with patients using AIDET principles (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You).
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes assessing tolerance and using appropriate immobilization devices.
- Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain accurate results.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational standards of imaging equipment and the work area.
- Follow all radiation safety infection control and sterile technique procedures.
- Accurately maintain and verify all required documentation including patient histories consent forms and imaging records.
- Collaborate with engineers and medical physicists to ensure equipment performance and report any malfunctions.
- Monitor inventory and assist with stocking supplies as needed.
- Screen all individuals entering the department to ensure safety compliance.
- Proficient in performing mammography procedures according to protocol.
- Strong communication skills; able to explain procedures and comfort patients effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates calmness under stress and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with emergency protocols and basic first aid.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction professional conduct and efficient service.
- Maintains competency in caring for patients across all age groups (newborn through geriatric).
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certification/Licensure:
- ARRT (M) Mammography Certification (Required)
