Job Description
Location: Altoona PA 16601
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM 07:00 AM
Duration: 12-week contract
Weekly Pay: $1800 $1944
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Deliver patient care in a Stepdown Unit (SDU) including monitoring vitals administering medications and maintaining patient safety.
- Perform assessments create and implement care plans and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms respond to changes in condition and escalate care as needed.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians specialists and other nurses to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide support and education to patients and families.
- Active RN License (PA State-required)
- Minimum of 1 year recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience (within last 18 months)
- BLS & ACLS Certification (American Heart Association-required)
- Telemetry experience
- Strong communication critical thinking and organizational skills
