Job Description
Seeking Custodians/Floor Technicians for industrial facility in Hemlock MI. This is a janitorial position that will require MILES of walking a day.
Overview:
- $19.00-20.00/hour depending on shift
Shifts:
- Schedules:
- 1st 6a-2:30p
- 2nd 2p-10:30p
- 3rd 10p-6:30a
- Should be open to working weekends as this s a 24/7/365 facility that never shuts down
Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up and dispose of trash and debris throughout jobsite haul trash to dumpsters
- Sweep and clean work areas throughout the project
- Able to distinguish between trash/s and stored materials
- Work in an organized manner completing areas as you go
- Work in close proximity with other trades in a fast-paced environment
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas: Yard area guard shack smoke area etc.
While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Removing and Bailing Cardboard
- Moving and stacking Pallets
- Floor cleaning
- Fork truck operation
- Need to be open to ALL tasks
Qualifications:;
- Previous experience in a Floor Technician janitor custodian cleaner or housekeeping position preferred
- Frequent lifting carrying pushing or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Must have reliable transportation
