Job Title: Charge Nurse (PACU)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Monitor and assess patient condition post-anesthesia and intervene as necessary.
- Supervise staff and assist in training new team members.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and reports as per regulations.
- Ensure the PACU is adequately stocked and maintained.
- Conduct patient education regarding postoperative care and recovery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and protocol development.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have a current Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
- Current CPR certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in a PACU or critical care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) preferred.
