Job Description
Job Title:CAD Drafter
Pay Rate:$25$35/hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours:Monday Friday 6:00 AM 4:00 PM(hours may vary based on workload)
Job Type:Temp-to-Hire
Location:Tulsa OK
Primary Function
Responsible for creating detailed fabrication drawings forshell and tube heat exchangersin accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Generate detailed shop fabrication drawings for shell and tube heat exchangers
Complete Code Data Reports for each exchanger
Perform basic design for select non-code components not handled by the Product Designer
Finalize tube layout including placement of tie rods seal bars dummy tubes etc.
Ensure all drawings comply withASME codeTEMA standards and other relevant specifications
Maintain and manage drafting hardware and software systems
Validate that all drawings meet both code requirements and end-user specifications
Tools and Equipment Used
Proficient in use of personal computer 2D CAD software tube layout/design software and basic word processing tools
Operate office equipment including laser printers copiers and handheld calculators
Occasional hand-drawn drafting work requiring the use of drafting ink pens pencils templates and compasses
Must be able to use a tape measure and safely access the fabrication area when required
Safety glasses or goggles must be worn at all times in the shop
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in a mechanical or industrial engineering setting
Familiarity withASME codesandTEMA standardsrequired; experience with heat exchangers is a plus
Proficient in 2D drafting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Prior experience preparing Bills of Materials and managing technical documentation
