- Work Schedule: Swing Shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm)
- 10% shift differential
- Programmer is responsible for developing and maintaining programs that guide automated optical inspection equipment in manufacturing.
- Debugging and resolving issues with AOI programs to ensure optimal machine performance and accuracy.
- Ensuring the smooth operation of AOI machines including performing calibrations preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Review AOI inspection for accurate component placement and markings.
- Load programs per documentation.
- Using magnification aids and microscopes inspect populated printed circuit boards and identify component placements.
- Recognize problems with components and highlight/communicate those issues to the Supervisor/Lead or Engineer.
- Troubleshoot machine programs as needed.
- Support production as needed.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- IPC-A-610 knowledge.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes including soldering component placement and common defects is essential.
- AOI programmers need to be able to troubleshoot issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Must exhibit knowledge and/or skill in operating equipment used in the area.
- YES TECH and Koh Young AOI machine experience is a plus.
- Ability to keep accurate documentation.
- Strong organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitask.
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings documentation component identification and component polarity.
- Basic computer knowledge.
