DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible but not limited to the duties and tasks listed below:
Establish clinical rapport with affiliates to include procurement of contract agreements.
Schedule students for clinical rotations at the various facilities.
Assign faculty to various clinical rotations as needed.
Provide supervisory visits to clinical sites.
Obtain evaluations of students by clinical instructors and/or externship site.
Collect student evaluations of clinical externship sites.
Assure clinical objectives are being met at various clinical agencies.
Prepare and provide all lecture laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required
curriculum.
Follow current course outlines objectives and evaluation mechanisms for the program as
developed by the nursing faculty.
Create an environment in classroom laboratory and clinical settings that facilitates student
learning and the achievement of desired cognitive affective and psychomotor outcomes.
Help students develop and integrate values and behaviors of those that fulfill the role.
Use a variety of strategies to assess learning in the classroom laboratory and clinical
settings.
Recognize that their role is multidimensional and requires ongoing commitment to develop
and maintain competence in the role and that life- long learning is essential. Maintain
professional expertise.
Acknowledge that scholarship is an integral component of the faculty role and that teaching
itself is a scholarly activity.
Be knowledgeable about the educational environment within which he/she practices and recognizes how political institutional social and economic forces impact his/her role.
Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required.
Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled hours or by appointment.
Secure consumable supplies as well as educational materials from administrative office when needed.
Communicate with Program Chair on all issues related to students.
Ensure students follow the catalog guidelines daily
Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings.
Serve on committees as assigned.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Associate s degree is required Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is required and in good standing.
Previous experience teaching preferred.
Maintain current personal education requirements as needed.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel) database software Google docs and use of internet.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
Must have the ability to lead projects manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills is required.
Must be professional and maintain confidentiality of employee information and campus records.
Must be flexible to work earlier or later shifts or weekends as needed.
