We are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join us as Risk & Audit Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the team in further establishing the enterprise risk management and internal audit function (R&A) as well as our approach in these areas. You will participate in internal audits and support in the enterprise risk management activities.
The fR&A Analyst is part of the Legal Tax & Risk team. The team provides high-quality legal tax enterprise risk compliance and internal audit support to our philanthropic organisations their worldwide operating grant-giving operations as well as Constanters Investment Office. With respect to the Investment Office you will closely collaborate with its own Risk and Compliance function.
In this role you will support the different leadership teams our governance committees - including our Audit Risk & Compliance Committee as well as our Board on all enterprise risk and assurance matters allowing for informed and timely decision making. Initially you will be working with an outsourced R&A team that will train you in our way of working and methodologies with specific training and on-the-job learning.
We consider it a pivotal role in further establishing enterprise risk management and assurance in our organisation. Enterprise risk management and assurance are seen to be crucial aspects of the success of an organisation with a focus on creating impact while doing the essential right. It is an exciting role at a relatively newly formed organisation and gives room for an entrepreneurial way of working and further setting up the function and our organisation for its next level of maturity.
We are a relatively small organisation and the risk & audit function is therefore a small and agile function. As such you will join us while we transition from a fully outsourced to an in-sourced team over the course of a couple of years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Risk Management
- Acting as a second line supporting the Risk Manager in the enterprise risk activities in oversight of the Constanter organization its subsidiaries and related parties
- Support in the Internal Control Framework maintenance in line with the risk strategy business profile organizational structure size and complexity
- Support in the Enterprise Risk Management design and enhancement including operating model policies and procedure risk strategy and framework
- Support in the facilitation and hosting of risk sessions to further enhance the risk universe identify key risks assess (strategic) risks set the risk appetite and mitigate risks
- Support in the further development of risk management application and supporting processes to maintain the risk repository enable effective monitoring of risk mitigations /responses feedback loops and if needed escalation to our top governance
- Supporting the Risk Manager in reporting into and providing recommendations to our Audit Risk and Compliance Committee and the Board regarding risk management policies procedures the framework
Internal Audit
- Supporting the Internal Auditor in preparing audits. That includes: drafting the audit memo arranging scoping and planning meetings requesting supporting documentation and preparing a Risk & Control Matrix with topic-specific risks/objectives/controls
- Supporting the Internal Auditor in conducting audits. That includes: conducting interviews reviewing documentation asking follow-up questions and properly documentation control testing results
- Supporting the Internal Auditor in audit reporting. That includes: drafting the audit report with the key observations and recommendations participating in closing meetings to obtain stakeholder buy-in finalizing the audit report with tangible action oriented results
- Supporting the Internal Auditor in monitoring of timely follow-up of internal audit observations and recommendations
- Supporting the Internal Auditor in preparing quarterly reporting to the Audit Risk & Compliance Committee (ARCC)
Stakeholder Management
- In a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment develop and maintain outstanding and effective (matrix) relationships with relevant stakeholders through open and frequent communication
- Liaise with other departments within our organisation and consult with management and the Constanter risk and compliance community and wider stakeholders
Qualifications :
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of relevant experience in the Enterprise Risk Assurance Compliance Business Security or Audit field(s) in an international environment.
- Experience in participating in internal audits. Experience in leading internal audits is valued.
- Experience in participating in risk management teams/projects. Experience in leading related projects/teams is valued.
- Knowledge of key tools and technologies applicable in risk management and assurance such as: Enterprise Risk Management Framework Key Risk Indicators Risk and Control Self Assessments Scenario Analysis
- Knowledge of internal audit and control methodologies
- Awareness of the regulatory requirements around risk & control and its impact on investment and philanthropic organizations
- Professional certifications in relevant fields such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or postgraduate audit qualification (such as RE or RO) is valued

- This role is based in Amsterdam The Netherlands.
- Offering a yearly salary between 58.000 - 75.000 (including holiday allowance and 13th month) depending on experience.
- This role has a preference for full-time availability (40 hours/week).
- Fixed-term 1-year employment contract with a view to extend to permanent.
- Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
