Powerhouse Technician

The Powerhouse Technician will: 

Operating maintaining and repairing all assigned Powerhouse equipment in a safe manner and in conjunction with equipment manufacturers specifications and production needs.

Operation maintenance and mechanical/electrical repairs for all Powerhouse systems and equipment including but not limited to:

1. Boilers boiler controls
2. Centrifugal reciprocating and screw type air compressors compressor controls compressor sequencing and monitor program compress air flow controllers.
3. Vertical flow and cross flow cooling towers
4. Chillers chiller controls
5. Horizontal split case pumps vertical turbine pumps vertical inline pumps
6. Pro-sonic level controllers mechanical seals packing
7. Variable frequency drives
8. Various types of check valves rising stem gate valves ball valves gate valves butterfly valves
9. Electric and pneumatic actuators steel piping stainless steel tubing and piping PVC tubing and piping electrical testing equipment electrical wiring
10. Desiccant type air dryers air dryer controls programming
11. Motor alignment impeller height adjustment
12. Deaerator diaphragm pumps
13. Chart recorders
14. Water testing methods and practices
15. Fork truck vertical and articulating lifts deck cranes
16. Hand corded and cordless power tools welding fabrication machining
17. Accurate manual data and event logging and record keeping
18. Perform other miscellaneous housekeeping duties as directed
19. Ensure all ESH procedures policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED 
• 5 years related experience
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.
• No relocation assistance is offered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree

ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. 
• New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends. 
• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold) forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.
• The role involves various physical tasks including walk long distance climb step and ladders stoop/bend work in a high heat dusty environment medium to heavy lifting

The starting annual salary for this role is $ a year.
