Civil Engineer Intern

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern for the Sacramento CA office.

This position is expected to begin in August/September 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Builds analytic and design skills.
• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Creates designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work per agreed budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements: 

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least three of years of study. Candidates who have  graduated with a Bachelors degree and plan to continue with the Masters degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Assist in the production of all phases of the design process.
• General knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings.
• Some Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
• Well organized and possesses an innovative mindset.

Additional Information :

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. 
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available for this position now or in the future.
• This position may result in working overtime from time to time and candidates must be willing to accommodate schedule deadlines for delivering projects.
• This position is intended to accommodate candidates scholastic schedules. Candidates may be allowed to work throughout the calendar year during school breaks in addition to a summer break.
• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Sacramento CA. The selected candidate must be available to work in Sacramento CA on a scheduled basis.
