Job Description

We are looking for a Materials Engineer to join our team and support an important customer.

It demanded to have at least one of these 3 technical specific skills:

  1. Metals & Anticorrosion
  2. Polymers & Bio Sourced
  3. Materials for Electronics

The activity includes: 

  • Analise the materials in vehicle BOM checking the correct specification
  • Report the result of BOM check analysis to CTE and ENG department interested in
  • Upload of material characterization in material database
  • Collection of material characterization from the different raw material suppliers
  • Support the Engineering Team in the material standard updating
  • Attend to regular meeting with the raw material suppliers
  • Lead the material characterization scheduling and tracking the activities and reporting to the management
  • Regular exchange with the plastics elastomers soft trims and decorative materials suppliers to collect the information about new grades available and/or new production routes
  • To start and follow the homologation procedure of new materials with the suppliers evaluate the supplier conformity to the customer standards
  • Update of the lists of homologated materials with the information of the grade or supplier validated
  • Collaborate with the Material specialist supplying the information about the materials availabilities
  • Analysis of CO2 certificates from the raw material producers asking support to team for polymers materials (plastics elastomers soft trims decorative etc.)
  • Preparation of synthesis documents to create for each supplier the decarbonization and recycling roadmaps
  • Analysis of buy components recycling content and collection of the missing data contacting directly the supplier
  • Creation of material recycling synthesis table based on the raw material utilized in the automotive component

Qualifications :

  • JUNIOR: 1-2 years of experience in Automotive Materials or SENIOR: 5 years of experience
  • University Degree in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience. Preferred specializations are: mechanical electronics aeronautical chemical industrial processes
  • English minimum level: B1
  • Knowledge of MS-Office
  • Flexibility Ability to work under pressure initiative capacity of teamwork social and intercultural competency
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate team members
