The Production Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training development and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are:

Responsibilities
What youll do
- Supervise evaluate and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements
- Ensure safety quality and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work verifying lines are running safely smoothly and producing quality parts
- Drive to exceed personal team Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership
- Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members union and management teams
- Demonstrates empathy and Gemba engaging regularly with employees in the production environment to listen and problem solve
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and processes to global manufacturing standards
- Coach Safety Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
- Monitor ANDON occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
- Through Process Confirmation verify that the line is running safely smoothly and producing quality parts
- Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level
- Communication and Recognition
- Meet FTT inventory cost scrap supply and tooling expense targets
- Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Adherence to FPS Principles
- Leading an hourly manufacturing team and directly overseeing 30 hourly employees at once
Qualifications
Youll have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1years of supervisory and/ or manufacturing experience
- Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety quality and throughput
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal teambuilding and communication skills

Bachelors Degree
Safety and quality experience
Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
Knowledge of constraint management principles
Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
