Job Description

SUBSTITUTE NURSES

2025-2026 School Year

The Montgomery County School Board Virginia is now accepting applications for substitute School Nurse positions that may be available within our division for the 2025-2026 School Year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The School Nurse will assist the Lead Nurse in the organization administration and implementation of school health services and will function as a contributing member of the school health team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in Virginia or Current license to practice as a licensed professional nurse in Virginia Current certification in CPR and First Aid Dependability and punctuality required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN)

One year of recent nursing experience

Previous experience in public health or general nursing; preferably in school nursing or community health nursing with children

FLSA Non-exempt

Salary: $28.53/hour LPN: $29.95/hour RN
