CNC Machinist with wire EDM experience
Middletown DE
Overview: Our client - a precision manufacturing company - is seeking an experienced Machinist with a strong background in both CNC machining and wire EDM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating Haas CNC mills and Sodick wire EDM machines to produce high-tolerance metal & plastic components for various industries. This is a hands-on detail-oriented role ideal for a machinist who takes pride in quality work and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
*Set up and operate Haas CNC milling machines for high-precision manufacturing
*Program and run Sodick wire EDM machines to manufacture complex components
*Read and interpret blueprints models and technical drawings
*Select appropriate tools and set machine parameters for each job
*Perform in-process inspections to verify dimensions and tolerances
*Modify programs or setups to improve part quality and cycle time
*Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure equipment runs efficiently
*Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Qualifications:
*2 years of experience with both CNC machining and wire EDM operation
*Proficient with Haas CNC controls and Sodick EDM systems
*Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
*Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers indicators)
*Familiarity with CAD/CAM software; MasterCam & FeatureCam experience is preferred
