Data Engineer
Princeton NJ Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) Contract Mid-Senior Level Rate: $80/hour No relocation or visa sponsorship
Were seeking a Data Engineer with deep expertise in modern BI stacks and cloud technologies to support high-impact actuarial and analytics tools used across a global organization. Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain enterprise-scale data engineering solutions
- Build and optimize data pipelines across raw staging and curated layers
- Implement ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Data Factory Databricks and SQL Server
- Develop and deploy Azure Analysis Services (SSAS) tabular models
- Work on real-time streaming data solutions using Azure Event Hubs and Stream Analytics
- Collaborate with actuaries analysts and tech stakeholders on data strategies
- Support actuarial tools and risk analytics platforms
Required Skills & Tools
- 10 years in data engineering with strong Microsoft BI/Azure BI experience
- Proficiency in:
- Azure Data Factory Databricks SSAS
- Azure Data Lake Analytics/Store
- Azure SQL PySpark MongoDB
- SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services
- Data modeling using normalization/denormalization techniques
- Experience with cube development KPIs partitions and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and SDLC principles
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with insurance or actuarial domains
- Understanding of reinsurance broking data rating models exposure data and client hierarchies
- Experience building pipelines to support actuarial pricing and analytics
- Comfortable working in fast-paced product-centric tech environments
