Job Description: Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for pediatric care We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist in the examination and treatment of pediatric patients providing direct and individualized nursing care. Maintain clinic flow and facilitate a patient-first environment.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs including temperature blood pressure weight and height. Clinical judgment on vital signs needed for acute care visits.
- Vaccine and Medication Administration: Administer vaccinations based on the CDC recommended schedule.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention. Maintain an increasing knowledge base related to pediatric care standards and vaccine management.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians during examinations and procedures ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Use of electronic health records within our clinic and with our various healthcare partners is required.
- Equipment Management: Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies ensuring a clean and safe environment. Assist with keeping accurate vaccine inventory safe handling and storage.
- Laboratory Duties: Point of care testing and phlebotomy. Correct storage and handling of specimens. Training is provided.
- Patient Communication: Assist with patient and family concerns referral process and medication refills.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Hold a current and valid LPN license in North Carolina.
- Experience: Previous experience in a pediatric or clinical setting is preferred but we welcome passionate newcomers.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a close-knit team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual: Spanish fluency is highly preferred enhancing our ability to serve diverse families.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification is a must to ensure patient safety.
- Attributes: Compassionate detail-oriented and dedicated to providing excellent patient care.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Tech Savvy: Basic knowledge of EMR systems (experience with Athena is a plus) to ensure efficient record-keeping.

Schedule & Availability:
- 4 Days a Week: Enjoy a balanced work-life with a 32-hour workweek.
- Monday & Tuesday: 7:45 AM 6:00 PM
- Tuesday & Thursday: 7:45 AM 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM 4:00 PM
- Weekend Shifts: Required on rotation or as needed offering variety and flexibility.
