Job Description

Description

The successful applicant will have familiarity and involvement with the Band Program at Ithaca College and will possess strong leadership administrative and language skills. They will consult regularly with the Director of Bands and area faculty to support Band Activities in capacities such as the following:

  • Assist with the logistics of program initiatives (proofing programs brainstorming for ensemble needs planning for Music for All festival interactions with guest artists etc.)
  • Liaise with other student staff (e.g. communicate needs to performance crew) to ensure proper setup and event production
  • Assist with minor setup needs (e.g. electronic keyboard in Presser or turning on rehearsal audio/video recordings. Performance crew will continue to set chairs and stands).
  • Maintain records of rehearsal attendance and events.
  • On occasion communicate to band students with details related to music scheduling events and participation.
  • Act as liaison between conductor ensemble leadership the social media team and ensemble membership.
