Job Description
Chevrolet of Troy is seeking to fill a unique roll within our organization Please call Dalton at or stop in weekly between 9-5 am for an onsite interview. Chevrolet has been apart of Troy Ohio since 1939 we service sell and repair cars in Miami County Ohio and beyond.
Job Purpose
Sells parts to all customers over the counter through the shop or on the phone/online
Responsibilities
- Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly professional and efficient manner
- Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Answers phone calls providing price quotes and other information.
- Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order if necessary.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Issues credit for parts returned ensuring that the original invoice or its number is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders invoices insurance estimates and special-order parts.
- Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Assist with monthly prime returns.
- Assist with warranty core returns.
- Assist with daily stock order.
- Weekly tire inventory count.
- Assist with monthly obsolescence returns.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Parts Manager.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time and prioritize
- Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents
- Ability to calculate figures/amounts including; discounts interest commissions proportions % area circumference and volume
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
