Employment Type: Full-time (40 hrs/week remote)
Location: Berlin
About the Role
You will design develop and optimize scalable backend services for our gaming loyalty platform.

Your Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning development and support of scalable and reliable data systems

Write clean efficient and well-documented code; actively participate in code reviews

Collaborate across teams to understand and deliver on data requirements

Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems pipelines and architecture
-
Design and build pipelines to extract transform and deliver data from multiple sources
-
Define and uphold best practices for data quality scalability and performance
-
Continuously explore and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance our data platform and workflows
What You Bring
- 6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering

Solid expertise with cloud platforms particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python Java Scala or C
-
Familiarity with core software engineering practices including version control (e.g. Git) containerization (e.g. Docker) and test-driven development

Practical experience using modern reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Metabase Looker)

Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques
-
Sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills

Excellent command of English both written and spoken
