You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking an experienced Health and Wellness Coach who will work under general supervision and perform a variety of activities to develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs that promote healthy lifestyles and improve employee well-being. Work involves planning researching organizing and evaluating health wellness and strength and conditioning training programs.This classification is designated asuncovered. Incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Requires a combination of work experience and education in Public Administration Law Enforcement Business Management Exercise Science/Wellness Occupational Health or a
related field totaling at least six (6) years.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
Statewide travel is required to perform certain work functions.
Holidays weekends and irregular hours may be required.
Must be AZPOST Physical Fitness Training Instructor Certified within twelve (12) months of appointment.
Must possess a Personal Trainer Certification and Nutrition and/or Diet Certification(s) within twelve (12) months of appointment.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
Current certifications from ACE NSCA AFAA ACSM NASM or any nationally recognized certification.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Applicants must complete an examination process. A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants. DPS supports a drug-free work environment through pre-employment drug testing.
