Job Description
Summary:
Bloomfield College of Montclair State Universitys Computational Natural and Applied Sciences Program Area seeks an adjunct faculty to teach the laboratory portion of a sophomore-level undergraduate course in Anatomy and Physiology. I. This position requires hands-on instruction in anatomical dissection techniques and laboratory skills essential for student success in the sciences and health sciences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruct laboratory sections scheduled to meet in person. There are three laboratory sections available: Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:40-6:40 PM
Provide hands-on instruction in anatomical dissection techniques using preserved specimens
Guide students through microscopic examination of tissues and organ systems
Supervise laboratory safety protocols and proper handling of biological materials
Assess student performance through practical examinations and laboratory reports
Course sections are capped at 20 students each
Qualifications:
Required:
A Masters degree in Biology Anatomy Physiology or closely related field
Experience with anatomical dissection techniques
Experience teaching and/or potential to teach at the undergraduate level
Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures for biological specimens
Preferred:
Expertise in human anatomy and physiology particularly organ systems covered in A&P I (integumentary skeletal muscular and nervous systems)
Experience teaching anatomy and physiology laboratory courses at the undergraduate level
Familiarity with modern anatomical models microscopy and digital learning tools
Background in health sciences or pre-professional education
Experience with practical examination design and assessment

Salary Range
