Fixed Equipment Engineer

Lafayette IN (full relocation)
$110-130K strong bonus potential

Are you an engineer who thrives on problem-solving innovation and making an impact

Were looking for a Fixed Equipment Engineer to join our clients team at their plant in Indiana. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety reliability and efficiency of this advanced chemical manufacturing facility.

What Youll Do:

  • Own & Drive Capital Projects Manage projects ranging fromsmall-scale improvements (<$50K) to major initiatives (>$1M)focused onsafety reliability and compliance.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance Serve as a key resource for interpreting and implementingOSHA ASME NFPA PSM and EPA RMPregulations.
  • Lead Process Safety Efforts OverseeManagement of Change (MOC)processes includingPre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) ensuring safety is embedded in every change.
  • Strengthen Our Safety Culture Conduct auditslead incident investigations anddeliver training programsto reinforce best practices across the facility.
  • Provide Technical Expertise Offer guidance onpressure vessel repair tank maintenance machine guarding and RAGAGEP interpretations.
  • Mentor & Develop Others Coach and support team membersempowering them with the knowledge and tools to uphold safety and engineering excellence.
Recruiting:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Chemical Process Safety or Combustible Dust environments is a plus.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to lead multiple initiatives and drive projects from start to finish.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of chemical unit operations Process Safety Management (PSM) and key safety standards (OSHA NFPA ASME API).
  • Communication & Detail Orientation: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Experience with Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Client is offering a base salary in range of $110-130K bonus and relocation assistance. They are also offering medical and retirement packages.
