Associate Instructor - Residential Commercial Industrial Electricity
Title: Associate Instructor Residential Commercial Classification: Industrial Electricity.

Office Location: TCAT McMinnville Coffee County Industrial Service Center 91 Volunteer Pkwy Manchester TN 37355
Hours: 7:00 am-3:00 pm Monday through Friday or as needed to fulfill duties of the position.
Salary: $55983-$67181
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentialsin related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the electrical field withinthe last five (5) years.
- Must be proficient in residential commercial and industrial electricity with extensiveknowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance motors electromechanical controls AC variablefrequency drives electronics programmable logic controllers robotics and blueprints
- Commitment to utilizing technology in the teaching/learning experience and willingness to stayup to date in developing instruction technologies
- Commitment to maintaining program accreditation(s)
- Strong customer service skills; must possess effective oral and written communication skills to accurately convey information and to effectively present information
- Must have ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs audio/visual equipment and software
- Must have the ability to multitask with good organization and planning skills
- Possess valid TN drivers license.
- Willing to travel as needed.

- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with multiple local businesses employers industry workforce development agencies secondary and post-secondary institutions.
General Duties:
Key Responsibilities Essential Job Functions
The Associate Instructor of Residential Commercial Industrial Electricity is responsible for performing the following duties:
- Monitor and evaluate student progress attendance and grades;
- Complete and submit required reports in a timely manner;
- Ability to effectively apply a multi-method approach to enhance student understanding of materials including demonstrations lectures hands-on activities and experience in live works to provide the student with the knowledge to gain employment and licensure in the cosmetology industry;
- Ability to understand which teaching methods best serve the students needs interests and ability to learn;
- Ability to develop accurate and objective standards to measure learning or administer testing or other evaluations to determine effectiveness and ensure a high level of comprehension has been achieved;
- Ability to teach all courses within the RCIE curriculum.
- Maintain student records for grades and attendance and enter into Banner system;
- Build and maintain relationships with area employers to facilitate the referral and employment of career and technical students;
- Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; establish and maintain good public relations with the schools general public;
- Work in cooperation with other departments and the community to enhance employment opportunities for students;
- Responsible for surveys records and reports of program graduates;
- Communicate effectively in a professional tactful and courteous manner with students employees faculty and the general public;
- Ensure that all activities are conducted within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA);
- Perform assigned responsibilities duties and tasks according to established practices procedures techniques and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision;
- Hold program advisory board meetings once a year and maintain meeting minutes;
- Participate in professional development and growth annually;
- Assist with student placement and follow-up information;
- Assist with student recruitment; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry County Criminal &Federal Criminal.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS)
Walking climbing bending and stooping. Work performed in office testing center and classroom environments. Position requires the use of a computer.
Sedentary Work Walking or standing to a significant degree; sitting for brief periods of time; be able to bend and stoop; use body members (arms hands fingers).
SALARY:Commensurate with experience education and training according to Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
