Job Description

YOUR PROFILE

  • Higher Education (Bachelor or Masters degree) in the field of aviation; or equivalent through experience
  • 10 years experience in aviation environment there of 5 years in a senior management position
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience thereof a minimum of 2 years in maintenance operations of an airline or a MRO Organization
  • Acceptable as nominated person according to EASA Part 145
  • In-depth knowledge of the maintenance operation of an airline and/or a MRO
  • Practical experience and expertise regarding the application of safety standards and safe operating procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Leadership qualities and track record of managing teams as well as the ability to perform in a team
  • Social and communication competencies in senior management environment

European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH (EAT) is a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group. It is an aircraft maintenance company as well as a cargo airline. The fleet of EAT Leipzig consists of 36 aircraft including Airbus A300-600 A330-200 and Boeing 757. At present destinations in Europe Africa North America and the Middle East are approached. The company currently employs approximately 1300 staff at its bases at Leipzig/Halle airport and in Brussels as well as the outstations in Frankfurt Cologne and Kopenhagen.

YOUR TASKS

  • Disposition and proper professional timely and economical performance of the maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components in line with the requirements of DHL Aviation Network
  • Compliance with laws aviation legislation and other applicable regulations
  • Effective management and development of related maintenance resources
  • Responsible for all maintenance facilities regarding occupational safety environmental equipment maintenance operating license etc.
  • Provision of the necessary departmental infrastructure Maintenance and care as well as calibration of the necessary work and operating equipment of the department in particular tools special tools and accessories to ensure that they are available during the performance of maintenance
  • Responsible for the implementation of corrective measures which result from Part 145 audits
  • Support relationship management with senior management and other stakeholders to define an environment of coordinated digital systems and intelligent automation.
  • Maintain high quality standards in compliance with all applicable aviation regulations and actively promote EAT safety culture
  • Setting standards and requirements harmonization of quality and safety policies and philosophies across the maintenance organizations and associated interfaces
  • Analyze and identify process changes and accompany the maintenance organization through the entire change process
  • In the context of continuous improvement skillfully apply agile methods
