Water Watcher
Responsibilities Include: Under the direction of the Aquatics Director and consistent with the Christian mission the Water Watcher at Sumter Family YMCA creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years of age
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to get certified
- Is comfortable in an aquatic environment
- Is able to remain calm and objective when under pressure or when challenged by others
- Must be available to work scheduled shifts
- Must be able to communicate clearly with members and staff using Listen First skills.
Salary: Starting at $10.00 per hour
Available Shifts: Weekdays: 4:40am 8:30am and 12:30pm 4pm
Saturdays: 7:10am 11:40am and 11:40am -4:00pm
Sundays 12:30pm 4:00pm
