About Us: Kinsley Steel Inc. is a leader in structural steel fabrication committed to delivering high-quality products and services. We value safety teamwork and continuous improvement. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Shipping Leader/Painter.
The Shipping Leader/Painter will be responsible for safely moving structural steel materials throughout the shop preparing and loading trailers and learning to apply industrial coatings using a paint sprayer. This position requires attention to detail a willingness to learn and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead cranes to safely move steel materials within the shop and load trailers.
- Utilize hard-tire forklifts to transport materials as needed.
- Prepare and load structural steel onto trailers for delivery.
- Learn and perform industrial painting using a paint sprayer; training will be provided.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols including participating in required respirator fit testing.
- Support the team with additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating overhead cranes to move heavy steel materials.
- Proficiency in operating hard-tire forklifts.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
- Prior experience with industrial paint spraying is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong work ethic positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Attention to detail with documentation and tracking.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
