Description

Stephens College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Business Instructor to join our dynamic faculty team for the fall 2025 semester. This is an in-seat on-site position. This position is specifically designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and have expertise in various areas of business. The adjunct instructor will primarily teach undergraduate courses in business on our block plan in session 3. The block plan consists of intensive three-and-a-half-week courses allowing for focused and immersive learning experiences.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive course content in various areas of business such as marketing finance management entrepreneurship and more.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
  • Provide timely feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings and activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in business management or a related field. A Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS or similar LMS.
  • Expertise in one or more areas of business with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.
  • Commitment to student success and a dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students faculty and staff.
