Job Description

Job Description:

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA) is actively seeking a detail-oriented Student Financial Aid Coordinator III to support the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) and Nursing (CON) section of the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. In this role you will administer financial aid to students within the PHHP and CON with a focus on the Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) program.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Student Advising and Outreach

  • Advise students on financial aid eligibility and options via phone email and in-person.
  • Lead financial aid presentations orientations and debt management workshops.
  • Evaluate private loan requests and promote aid opportunities through targeted communications.
  • Serve as liaison to the Bursar and Registrar for student financial concerns.

Aid Processing and Compliance

  • Oversee weekly loan processing reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with federal loan testing and maintain deep knowledge of financial aid regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to FERPA and university privacy policies.
  • Respond to aid-related data and reporting requests from deans and departments.

Scholarship Management

  • Coordinate the full scholarship cycle from outreach and eligibility checks to processing and recordkeeping.
  • Reconcile monthly ledgers for loans and scholarships; track fund usage and availability.
  • Provide monthly status reports to the Deans Office and respond to audit and donor inquiries.
  • Act as key contact for Advancement and Financial offices on scholarship matters.

Collaboration and Program Support

  • Participate in awarding institutional aid through the Financial Aid Committee.
  • Partner with academic leadership on aid strategy and student support.
  • Develop annual cost of attendance budgets for PHHP and CON.
  • Support career and financial literacy programming and help coordinate the Senior Awards Ceremony.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is located at the University of Floridas main campus in Gainesville FL. The selected candidate will work on site and may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Managements policies.

Expected Salary:

$57000 annually

Required Qualifications:

  • Student financial aid and loan counseling experience
  • Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing financial aid programs
