Job Description

St. John Vianney Catholic School is seeking a part-time School Counselor to support the academic social emotional and spiritual development of our students in grades K8. This role is 12 days per week with hourly or daily compensation negotiable based on qualifications and Responsibilities:Provide short-term solution-focused counseling to students in grades K8Assist students with developing social-emotional and interpersonal skillsSupport teachers and parents in addressing behavioral emotional or academic concernsCollaborate in the student support referral processPromote a school environment aligned with the values and mission of Catholic educationPreferred Qualifications:Masters degree in School Counseling Psychology Social Work or a related fieldValid state licensure or certification in counseling or social work (or eligibility to obtain)Experience working with children in a school or clinical settingStrong communication and collaboration skillsFaith Commitment:As a Catholic school St. John Vianney gives preference in employment to candidates who are practicing Catholics and who demonstrate a commitment to upholding the doctrine and teachings of the Catholic Church. All employees are expected to support and model the schools mission and values.
