Role Summary:

The Business Analyst will assist the Finance Business Partner in providing key financial and commercial support to the Regional Business Group. This role will include developing key reporting & dashboards financial performance analysis and supporting the review and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

The Business Analyst position is a full-time permanent role based in Lidcombe with occasional travel as required to support ongoing process improvement and the delivery of operational financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business and group key stakeholders to develop and maintain reporting framework for the segment
  • Segment systems lead for D365 Microsoft Dynamics and Power Bi
  • Maintain data requirements for all Power Bi reports working closely with corporate reporting team to ensure timely and accurate delivery & maintenance of group and segment key financial reports
  • Develop and maintain standard reporting templates and key performance dashboards
  • Provide business support for various financial and non-financial reporting tools
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Develop and maintain monthly forecasting process
  • Develop and maintain weekly cashflow forecasting tools
  • Lead various process improvement projects and support operations in finance led projects
  • Process documentation
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and identify opportunities for smarter faster analysis
  • Support integration of new acquisitions and lead onboarding D365 integration
  • Conducting variance analysis and identifying trends and business drivers
  • Provide general support to segment finance team as and when required.
  • Provide month end process coverage in peak demand periods to ensure standard monthly deadlines are met
  • Accurate and timely delivery collaborating across multiple stakeholders and driving process improvements to streamline activities

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • University degree in Accounting or similar
  • CA or CPA membership.
  • Previously demonstrated experience in commerce or professional firm construction materials industry highly regarded
  • Experience with D365 ERP system highly regarded
  • Advanced Excel and Power Bi skills essential
  • 5 years of experience working in a similar financial role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to think laterally.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with an ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
