Work Schedule: 15-20 hrs/wk available in afternoons/early evenings Saturday Tuesday and Wednesday Afternoons
October - Mid December 4:00 pm-6:30 pm on weekdays March-May 4:00 6:30 pm on weekdays
Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing
Pay Rate: $10.50-$11.50 per hour
Key Components:
This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. The Theatre Program Assistant will assist the Theatre Director with teaching various aspects of theatre to children on differing levels as well as engage with Mission Waco after school programs and the larger community.
- In a student employee capacity may assist in working with external community service partners.
- Assisting with theatre classes and lessons
- Maintaining theatre equipment
- Working with volunteers
- Some cleaning duties
Required Hard Skills:
- Preferred: Theatre or education majors
- Excellent theatre experience (Preferably teaching experience)
- Must know basic theatre theory and principles
- Working with children and youth
- Experience with build sets and props (Optional)

Job Description:
- Work with local organization(s) or community partners

- May assist with planning organizing and implementing community services or programs
- May assist with various projects activities or tasks related to community projects
- May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
- May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
- May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
- Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
- May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
