Based in Waco the Director of External Partnerships & Campus Support works directly with the Assistant Vice President of External Operations to ensure effective management and oversight of Tarleton State Waco at McLennan Community College (MCC) and Texas A&M-RELLIS located in Bryan TX. This position plays a vital role in the success of students faculty staff and the Division of External Operations. Key responsibilities include fostering community engagement in and around Waco and Bryan supporting the growth of associated programs and supervising professional staff graduate assistants and student workers to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for students faculty staff and visitors.
This is an in-office position with primary work hours of Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM or as work requirements indicate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
35% Community Engagement
Community Liaison Primary representative for engagement in local organizations and volunteer opportunities in both the Waco and Bryan communities.
Community College Relations Serve as a liaison to community colleges for transfer support and pathways/partnerships such as MCC Temple Hill Blinn and others.
65% Waco/Bryan Operations and Support:Effective oversight of day-to-day operations of the Tarleton State Waco and Bryan off-campus instructional sites is a primary responsibility of this position. Duties include but are not limited to serving as the primary liaison with other divisions departments and groups:
MCC & Texas A&M-RELLIS Primary Tarleton State representative serving to strengthen institutional relationships and programmatic growth.
Faculty/Staff Resource Serve as on-site resource for adjuncts traveling faculty resident faculty and staff.
Student Resource Serve as an effective and encouraging resource for students in Waco and Bryan to and through their Tarleton State journey.
Campus Operations Liaison to campus facilities as they relate to Tarleton State in allocation of faculty and staff work spaces and classroom utilization.
Student Engagement & Success Serve as the liaison to the Division of Student Engagement and Success in the facilitation of associated services and programs.
ITS Staff Primary liaison serving to ensure off-campus faculty/staff/student ITS needs are successfully tracked and completed.
Persistence and Retention Complete all administrative duties including but not limited to monitoring enrollment persistence and completion in a timely manner; Advance and improve persistence and completion outcomes of students designated/assigned to Tarleton State Waco and Texas A&M-RELLIS which include face-to-face and online learners.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervision of staff graduate assistants and student workers reporting to the Division of External Operations supporting Waco and Bryan including professional development opportunities performance reviews and teambuilding.
The Director of External Partnerships & Campus Support will serve students faculty and staff at Tarleton State Waco and Bryan with excellence; Represent the Assistant Vice President of External Operations at meetings and events as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in education applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ten years of related experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Experience with staff selection training scheduling supervision and evaluation.
Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
Ability to work nights or weekends when needed.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $65370 to $92831 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
