Salary: Grade E - Starting Salary is 27711 (Level one) 30060 rising (Level four)

About the role:

As an Independent Living Coordinator for our older and vulnerable customers you will work in a locally based team to promote the general wellbeing of tenants in our Independent Living Schemes and neighbouring Nottingham City Council Housing Services properties.

About You

You will have the knowledge and understanding of the needs of older and vulnerable people providing a primary point of contact for tenants. Good communication skills coupled with an adaptable and proactive approach to continuously improve and develop the service are essential.

Tact and sensitivity are required at all times as well as knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation GDPR and safeguarding policy to ensure client safety maintain personal information and uphold client confidentiality. You will also demonstrate the ability to make accurate and timely decisions using your own judgement in sometimes complex situations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience of managing a diverse workload working in a fast moving pressurised environment dealing with conflicting priorities to meet specific targets and deadlines
  2. Experience of undertaking home visits to tenants ensuring their health and wellbeing by recognising and identifying the needs of individuals and when appropriate referral to and liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies and carers
  3. Experience of maintaining tenant and scheme records both manual and computerised including the creation monitoring and review of Housing Related Support Plans providing information to relevant parties as required including accurate recording of incidents visits made and actions taken.
  4. Ability to make accurate and timely decisions often in pressurised situations and to act tactfully and with sensitivity and courtesy at all times
  5. A proven ability to represent the service by developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external representatives and other bodies
  6. Ability to develop and present written or verbal information in a clear and concise manner
