Job Description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking an experienced and innovative Clinical Educator to join the Northwest Specialty team!

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Development the clinical educator serves as a hospital-wide specialist in the design development provision evaluation and review of education while ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulatory agencies and the Joint Commission. Works collaboratively with the clinical leadership team to set goals/priorities for the annual as well as just-in-time education/training; assessing needs creating plans develop program as well as implementing and evaluating the effectiveness. This role is a key resource with leaders in coordinating onboarding plans for new employees. Works with the clinical leadership team to assess plan develop implement facilitate evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel as indicated/requested.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from an Accredited College/School required Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hospital-based nursing with an emphasis on perioperative and critical care nursing (Pre-op/PACU OR ICU).
  • Current Idaho Nurse Licensure.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel Word and Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills along with attention to detail. Must be highly organized and able to focus on the task at hand.
  • Understands medical terminology and quality improvement processes.
  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent data analysis skills and/or the ability to read and interpret data principles of validity and reliability testing basic statistical methodology and coding and classification of data.
