Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). This is an exciting opportunity to provide assessment treatment and consultation services for dysphagia and communication disorders across a diverse adult population.
Qualifications :
Halton Healthcare is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and registered with the college of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Ontario.
- Swallowing assessment skills including video fluoroscopic studies are essential
- FEES experience is an asset
- MBSImP training an asset
- Excellent Organization Time Management and Communication Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the interprofessional team.
- Flexible to meet the changing demands of a mixed caseload.
- 1-2 years acute care hospital experience required
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record
The ideal candidate is strong in patient centred care in a dynamic rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Additional Information :
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.5 hour day shifts 0800-1600 (hours subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $46.004 -$59.637 per hour
