Job Description

Senior Automation engineer / Ingenieur im Bereich Leittechnik / Discipline lead I&C

Hamburg Germany or any other of our German locations (e.g. Berlin Munich Erlangen Mannheim etc.)

Are you a Senior Automation Engineer (Instrumentation Automation Leittechnik) or project manager Do you want to work with energy transition projects such as PtX Carbon Capture Energy Intensive Industries or gas infrastructure Do you want to play a central part in our projects

If this sounds like you or youre curious to learn more then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Automation and OT Security department as our new Senior Automation engineer and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

 

Your new role

As our new Senior Automation engineer you will be focal towards the clients suppliers and projects. As focal you will be responsible for e.g. field instrumentation automation systems safety systems network fire & gas detection and interfaces towards mechanical & electrical packages and Supplier/Vendor management/engagement. You will eventually take over the role of I&C discipline lead in our projects.

 

Your key responsibilities could include:

  • Interface directly with local German clients
  • Act as project / discipline manager on projects in close collaboration with clients.
  • Act as discipline lead/project manager on multidiscipline projects along with project team
  • Liaison with clients and suppliers 
  • Perform specification and design of automation systems e.g.:
  • Overall system topology and interfaces towards third part systems
  • SCADA ESD/fail-safe systems or Fire and Gas
  • Field instrumentation
  • Provide input for procurement and handle technical clarifications before and during execution phase
  • Provide input for and participate in FAT SAT and commissioning.
  • Inspection/visit of installations on Sites.

 

Your new team

You will be part of an exceptional technical environment with 21 passionate colleagues in Denmark and Norway supported by our global engineering center. The department is highly experienced and delivers engineering and consultancy services globally within the energy sector for projects around the world. The area of responsibility for this position is mainly energy intensive projects such as PtX plants offshore energy power generation and gas infrastructure.

 

About you

These include:

  • A Bachelors- or Masters degree Automation/Electrical Engineering Electronic and computer Information- and communication technology Marine Engineering or similar
  • A few years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English are a must
  • Business fluent in German is also required
  • Work in a structured and systematic way
  • Able to handle many stakeholders
  • We expect you have knowledge within some of the following areas: Field instrumentation SCADA/Control/Leittechnik (e.g. TIA PCS7 or similar) ESD/fail-safe or Fire and Gas.
  • Experience in developing I&C concepts design or operation of power plants oil & gas or other process industries
