Donaldsons Power Generation business unit is seeking a Project/Application Engineer for our Engineering this role you will project engineer new system designs through our engineering and CAD teams and support new product for air inlet systems for the gas turbine market. This role includes Application Engineering of complex non-standard configurations. Heavy involvement in the design and layout with the customer through CAD modeling and system integration. Traveling to customer sites to assist surveying and direct contact with customer to ensure all requirements are being fulfilled

Role Responsibilities:

• Support kick-offs of new projects through our engineering and CAD team

• Develop and maintain products through knowledge and application of engineering and filtration principles.

• Develop complex system layouts to meeting customers requirements

• Utilize CAD system to produce quick 3D layouts/concepts to help customer visualize system design.

• Direct interface/contact with customer including site visits and assisting with surveying.

• Perform engineering calculations investigations and assigned tasks.

• Provide technical support to manufacturing partners at our plants suppliers and CAD designers.

• Utilize Computer Aided Engineering systems to help evaluate designs.

• Develop budgetary cost estimates

• Ensure compliance with government and organization engineering standards.

• Provide technical support to Sales Product Management Applications Engineering Field Service Marketing and Manufacturing.

• Prepare and present technical results and information in a clear and concise manner through drawings specifications reports and oral presentations.

• Support field assembly/commissioning as needed through conference calls or site visits.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering.

• 4 years related professional work experience.

• Experience with CAD Teamcenter and/or NX

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCAD

• Proficient with Siemens NX 3D modeling

• Experience working with fabricated metal products manufacturing processes and the downstream impacts of design decisions.

• Effective oral and written communication skills with broad audience: Sales product management other engineering teams CAD design quality manufacturing plant personnel

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to manage all engineering activities and ensure delivery timelines.

• Manage engineering communications with customer.

• Manage engineering timelines and schedules and provide reoccurring updates to team.

Travel:

• Less than 10% annually US and Mexico.

Annual Salary Range: $71900 - $91700 annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to applicable work experience training education performance.
