Job Description
Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Aspermont TX
Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts (5-6 Days per Week)
Hourly Pay Range: $50 - $60/hr (based on experience)
Relocation Support:
- Facility housing available at $10/day until permanent housing is secured
- Potential access to future rent house options
Position Summary:
Join a collaborative care team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a rural health setting. You will support the rehabilitation and recovery of patients in both long-term care and outpatient therapy environments. Facility Overview:
- 53-bed Skilled Nursing Facility
- Outpatient Therapy Clinic
- 20-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Supportive housing options available (see below)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT
- Work across multiple care settings including long-term care and outpatient
- Help patients develop recover and improve the skills needed for daily living and working
- Document treatment plans and progress in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Certification: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Licensure: Active Texas state license required at time of submission
- Experience: Long-term care experience preferred
- Other: Strong communication and patient engagement skills
