Job Description

Position: Administrator VA (Remote)

Job Summary:
Our client is a growing auto parts distributor based in California serving customers across the U.S. They manage a large inventory of vehicle components parts databases and customer records. We are seeking a mid-level Database Administrator Virtual Assistant to support their team and ensure that their data systems are secure accurate and scalable.

In this remote role you will manage inventory and customer databases work closely with their operations and eCommerce teams resolve data issues and help optimize performance across internal and online AutoParts platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain SQL-based inventory and customer databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL).
- Optimize queries and indexes to improve reporting and order-processing performance.
- Perform regular backups and test data recovery processes.
- Maintain data accuracy across parts databases including SKUs inventory levels pricing and categories.
- Support data imports/exports between ERP systems websites and vendor catalogs.
- Assist in syncing AutoParts inventory systems with eCommerce platforms.
- Ensure database access and security policies are up-to-date.
- Provide weekly reports on sales stock levels and data issues.
- Troubleshoot performance issues or data inconsistencies as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-4 years of professional experience in database administration or data management.
- Proficient with SQL including writing and optimizing queries.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL in a production environment.
- Familiarity with eCommerce and/or inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of backup recovery and data migration techniques.
- Strong understanding of data accuracy structure and normalization.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
