Job Description
Overview
Talent Pool: Certified Nursing Assistant
System Wide positions have a very high level of patient safety and personal accountability focus due to the vast majority of work with patients in acute mental health situations. We need highly compassionate and good communicators in addition to a strong level of hospital based and/or behavioral health based work experience.
Responsibilities
Assesses patients quality of life related to nutrition hydration and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
Admits transfers and discharges patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care.
Assists with patient elimination needs including ostomy care enemas and condom catheters to provide comfortable care for patients.
Helps to maintain unit inventories of supplies and equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
Checks that fall risk patients have the appropriate arm bands socks and signage to ensure physical safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.
