POSITION SUMMARY
At Pfizer we deliver breakthrough medicines that change patients lives. Our Discovery Technologies team plays a vital role in this mission through enabling the discovery and development of biologics therapeutics. In La Jolla we are dedicated towards redirecting the immune cells against cancer through the application of bispecific and multispecific antibodies.
Based at our La Jolla site your research will uncover Pfizers next biologic oncology therapeutics. Your responsibilities include design and development of cell-based assays liquid samples handling and automation and high throughput screening (HTS) of biologic drug candidate molecules.
You will work closely with colleagues in Bio Medicine Design and Tumor Biology groups to innovate and develop the next-generation of immune cell engagers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and manage mammalian cell cultures.
Develop cell assays through cell line engineering.
Enable therapeutic antibody discovery through in vitro cell-based assays and high throughput screen.
Operate liquid handling and automation.
Analyze organize and present data in small and large group meetings.
Conduct relevant scientific literature search to aid in experimental design.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. degree and 3 years experience in general cell biology and cell-based assays OR
MS degree and 1 years experience in general cell biology and cell-based assays
Experience with mammalian cell culture.
Experience with lentiviral protein expression system.
Experience with cell-based assays including but not limited to luciferase reporters ELISA MSD NanoBRET cell viability.
Experience independently designing planning executing and interpreting experiments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with plasmid design cloning lentivirus and generation of stable cell lines
Experience with flow cytometry
Experience with live cell imaging with Incucytes
Experience with SnapGene or similar molecular biology design software
Familiarity with drug discovery automation and HTS.
Work Location Assignment:On Premise
