Job Description
Join PPM Consultants Inc.
Were looking for a motivated Environmental Technician to join our Birmingham AL team. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong attention to detail mechanical aptitude and a passion for working outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect air water soil and sediment samples
- Operate and maintain environmental remediation systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site
- Observe and direct short term remediation activities
- Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment
- Assist with inspections and compliance activities in industrial/commercial settings
- Travel to project sites across Alabama (daily) company vehicle provided
Requirements
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined; able to work with tools and equipment
- Able to work with a team and independently safety-oriented
- Basic knowledge of environmental science and sampling techniques
- Strong communication attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Able to work outdoors year-round lift and carry 50 lbs at times
- Prior field experience and 40-Hr HAZWOPER a plus (not required)
