About the Role
A 12-month locum position for a Clinical Neuropsychologist has become available in the Clinical Neurosciences Department.
The neuropsychologist is required to provide high-quality comprehensive evidence-based evaluations of cognitive and psychosocial function in patients with a wide variety of neurological and medical conditions. They will be working in a small team of part-time neuropsychologists who consult to a wide variety of departments across the hospital. The successful candidate will be able to work independently but collaboratively and contribute to the smooth running of the Unit including triaging referrals and providing secondary consultation to referrers.
Comprehensive assessment of cognitive and psychosocial functioning of people referred to the Neuropsychology Unit from both inpatient and outpatient services.
Provision of feedback and treatment recommendations both to referrers and patients including participating in multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.
Assist in the management of referrals to the Neuropsychology Unit.
Participate in peer supervision within the Neuropsychology Unit.
Classifications for this position will range from Psychologist Grade 3 PL1 PL4 ($108279.60 - $123905.60 per annum pro-rata).
Your Contribution
Capacity to supervise post-graduate neuropsychology trainees.
All applicants must hold a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology and general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must hold endorsement as a Neuropsychologist or be enrolled in the AHPRA Registrar program and working towards endorsement.
AHPRA approved supervisor status (for post-graduate neuropsychology trainees).
Applicants must be eligible for membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Neuropsychologists.
Current National Criminal History Check or willing to obtain
