We are seeking a Full-Time Admissions Coordinator to join our team!
Position Overview
In this role you will be responsible for managing the admissions process ensuring the smooth flow of customers and contributing to the marketing efforts of the facility. Your role will directly impact guest referrer and payor satisfaction market penetration public image profitability and census goals.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Client Coordination
Assess inquiries and respond to referrers within one hour when possible ensuring timely and effective communication.
Evaluate PRIs (Patient Review Instrument) and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate all aspects of the admission process.
Meet with families and guests on the day of admission ensuring appropriate room preparation and introducing them to the nursing staff.
Work with the administrator and staff to ensure consistent and efficient admission discharge and transfer meetings.
Referral & Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources physicians discharge planners and social workers to facilitate ongoing admissions.
Provide timely updates to referral sources regarding guest progress as needed.
Work to meet or exceed census goals by nurturing and developing referral networks.
Marketing & Public Relations
Actively participate in the marketing program to enhance the facilitys public image and increase referral opportunities.
Ensure guest-oriented admission processes to maximize satisfaction and promote positive word-of-mouth.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident information in accordance with HIPAA and corporate guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge of PCC FCC Portal and Census Pro.
Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities effectively.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide a team.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel Word Outlook)
Long-Term Care Experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
