Role Summary
The Senior Associate Business Process Improvement role in Vaccines Business Operations analyzes recommends and applies solutions to improve and track the efficiency of business processes used regularly in Vaccines and as appropriate in the Pearl River Site (which is the global headquarters of Pfizer Vaccines). The colleague who is successful in this role helps Pfizer Vaccines optimize operational investments by reducing manual effort spent on business processes while increasing the accuracy timeliness and security of data. This role works under the guidance of the Director - Vaccines Business Operations with responsibility for business process improvements in Vaccines including but not limited to the application of automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance for Vaccines. This role consults as appropriate with key stakeholders including but not limited to Vaccines Pfizer Digital and People Experience.
What You Will Achieve
Planning and Consulting Engaging with internal customers to clarify business needs and prioritize solutions that can best meet these needs. Serving as needed in an interim capacity to provide critical support to primary owners of existing solutions. Engaging as appropriate Pfizer Digital partners in Enterprise Automation Services in cases where solutions require bespoke customization and dedicated resource commitments.
Solution Development Delivery and Continuous Improvement Creating novel solutions and adapting existing solutions as appropriate to meet business needs. Conducting solution testing and user acceptance testing trains key stakeholders on solutions monitors the performance of solutions to ensure accurate and efficient functioning and updates systems and training as the solutions evolve with changing business needs.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Support Supporting as appropriate the Vaccines AI Steering Committee which is the governance and program review body that compiles reviews and provides strategic direction to ensure that Vaccines AI efforts and investments are aligned with Vaccines and Pfizer R&D goals and direction Pfizers Purpose Blueprint and the ethical standards and regulatory requirements governing AI initiatives at Pfizer to ensure that Vaccines AI work is advancing the Vaccine organizations ability to develop approvable vaccines.
Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelors degree in business administration Computer Science Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Quantitative Analysis or a related field with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or a Masters degree in one of these fields with 0- 2 years relevant experience.
Demonstrated strengths in the following:
Logic analysis and problem-solving
Working learning and training independently
Simultaneous management of multiple projects
Matrix team management
Communications and interpersonal skills
Nice To Have
Experience with process workflow and structured improvement tools and methodologies
Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives.
Experience with data analysis and performance metrics
Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards of ethics security and quality related to information management
Experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires the use of a computer device for long periods.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Travel: 5% or less per year. This position is based in Pearl River New York and may require occasional travel to other company locations.
Off-hours work may be required to support deployments or troubleshooting events.
