Job Description
Saint Paul College invites applications for a part-time faculty position as an Economics Instructor. The college is committed to academic excellence and the development of a diverse anti-racist learning community that promotes equity and inclusion. The college has served Saint Paul and its surrounding communities for more than 100 years emphasizing career and technical education to prepare students for employment and liberal and fine arts education to prepare students for transfer. We seek faculty members who employ trauma-informed culturally relevant approaches to teaching and learning; who can deliver engaging in-person instruction and develop high-quality online courses; and who will thrive in a vibrant open-admissions environment.
Position responsibilities knowledge and abilities:
Strong discipline expertise and the ability to teach a variety of Economics courses primarily including Microeconomics Macroeconomics and Introduction to the American Economy.
Courses are taught at a variety of times including days and evenings and in Blended/Hybrid formats involving weekly class sessions on campus supplemented with online asynchronous contentdelivery.
Design and teach courses in the Economics program using teaching methods that support the success of diverse students.
Assess student learning and academic achievement at classroom department/program and college levels.

$ 43067.00 - 94542.00
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree with a major in economics or a Masters degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in economics.
Preferred Qualification
Earned doctorate in economics or a closely related field.
Three years of teaching experience in a community college or five years teaching experience at the college level.
Experience teaching college students who are: first generation English language learners culturally racially linguistically academically and neuro-diverse.
Documented experience with evidence-based high-impact teaching practices and course designs for in-person online asynchronous and blended/hybrid delivery modalities.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission vision and values of community and technical colleges.
